A rough 0-2 last night.

The Pistons just didn’t have it on the road at Indiana. They were a -1 favorite and lost the game outright. I thought that line was a bit odd at the time and perhaps it should’ve been more of a red flag.

I’ve been kicking myself all night about Wizards -5. They ended up losing outright to the Heat at home. I laid out in the preview how winning against the same team two games in a row is really hard in the NBA, but went with the play anyway. That turned out to be a mistake.

We should bounce back tonight with three strong tips that I will give to you now.

Utah Jazz vs. Orlando Magic Betting Tips:

Speaking of kicking myself, I thought we should be going against the Jazz as much as possible right now and I missed the opportunity last night. I won’t make that same mistake here again.

The Jazz are without Rudy Gobert who is the center to pretty much everything they do and now Ricky Rubio is questionable for this one. That’s about everything else that they do. The Jazz are yet to win a road game this season and they are simply not that reliable.

Orlando has been one of the surprises of the season and they should get the job done tonight. Utah is on a back-to-back, they are beat up and the stink on the road. Magic -7 is a gift.

Golden State Warriors vs. Boston Celtics Betting Tips:

The Warriors had won seven straight and looked like the team to beat in the NBA until they ran into the buzzsaw that is the Boston Celtics on Thursday. Not only did they lose, they were held under 90 points for the first time in maybe forever. That was a bad shooting game plus a great defense that just didn’t add up to much for them.

That said, the Warriors are still the very best team in the NBA and they are still going to wallop teams like the Sixers. Philly plays at a high pace and they give up lots of points. That plays right into the Warriors’ hands.

Golden State should be highly motivated to reassert themselves here tonight and I just don’t see what Philly can possibly do to stop them. Golden State -8.5 because the line should be -12. The Warriors will show us just how good they can be again tonight.

Boston Celtics vs. Atlanta Hawks Betting Tips:

The Boston Celtics have won 14 straight and are showing no signs of slowing down. Kyrie Irving is wearing a mask, Jayson Tatum is looking like a veteran and the defense is clicking in every way. Did you really think we’d stop riding them now? This team is on fire.

We’re taking the Celtics -6.5 tonight and will continue to take them until they give us a reason not to. This is the best regular season team we’ve seen thus far and the only true reliable bet. Yeah, we’re all over Boston tonight. Logo

1-0 last night and we are on quite the run as of late. Be sure to put your email address in down below to receive our betting tips by email every day. We are doing really well as of late so it could be costing you money not to do it.

We rode the Celtics last night as they defeated the Warriors. They were getting seven points at home and won outright by four. The most impressive thing isn’t even the victory, but the fact that they held the Warriors to just 88 points. That is some serious defense and the Celtics win streak continues. You know we’ll be watching them this weekend.

There are a couple of games that we have our eyes on for tonight so let’s get right into that.

Detroit Pistons vs. Indiana Pacers Betting Tips:

The Pistons have won eight of their last ten and five of their last six, but for some reason they are getting a point here tonight against the Pacers.

Detroit is eighth in the NBA in defensive rating and this really looks like the team that we thought they were going to be last season. Sometimes these things just take longer than we expected. The Pistons feel like the type of team we thought we were getting when Stan Van Gundy was hired.

While the Pacers have been better than we expected this season, this is exactly the kind of game that the Pistons should win. Indiana’s defensive rating is over 107 which means they aren’t stopping anyone. Detroit will come into this one rested and are coming off a loss to the Bucks. They should be focused and motivated to play.

Pistons +1 is a great play tonight. They are the better team here and want to get their weekend started on the right foot.

Miami Heat vs. Washington Wizards Betting Tips:

This is a tricky one. These two teams just played two days ago in Miami and the Wizards won by nine. They play again tonight in Washington with the Wizards as big favorites. It’s hard to beat any team twice in a row in the NBA and this throws up a few red flags.

Except for one thing, Miami kind of sucks. They are 24th in the NBA in Net Rating and their offense has really left a lot to be desired. The defense hasn’t been there and there just isn’t much to be excited about with them.

The Wizards on the other hand give us a lot to get excited about. They are sixth in Net Rating and their 108.2 offensive rating is eight points higher than the Heat. That’s big. If you take away the numbers and simply look at the teams on the floor, how do you not pick John Wall and Bradley Beal over anyone on the Heat? You can’t do it.

As much as the back to back match-up gives me pause, I just can’t go against the Wizards here tonight. Washington -5 is a good home team and they should get the job done again tonight. Logo

It was a 1-0 night with a push in the Pistons/Bucks game for us.

I wish I had followed through and taken the Wizards +1. It’s annoying when something like historical matchups can throw you off. That really shouldn’t have had an effect but I saw so many people staying away from that game due to it I decided to be cautious there as well.

Our win was with the Knicks -4. It was a tight one and it required a big 4th quarter from the Knicks but they won 106-101 to give us the win. We expected it to be a bit easier than that so that was a scary one all the way to the end.

It was a push with the Pistons +4 against the Bucks. Pistons also had a big 4th to keep that one close after trailing badly going into the 4th quarter.

Two games, one tip tonight.

Celtics vs Warriors Betting Tips:

Decided to wait till later to post the tips today as wanted the line to move in our favour.

Celtics opened at +6 but there was question as to whether Stephen Curry would play or not. We expected he would so wante dto wait for the line to reflect that.

The line is now Celtics +7.5 and I’m happy backing Boston on that one.

Celtics are coming into this one on the back of 13 wins. This is a potential NBA Finals matchup and with the way the Celtics have banded together it really could be.

The Celtics throughout this season have shown an incredibly strong team mentality. Injuries happen but the injuries the Celtics have suffered have been brutal. Yet they still band together.

I’m not saying they will win tonight – honestly I’d be surprised if they did. However I don’t see them giving up at least. This is a massive game for them and one where if they battle to the wire it reflects good for them.

Warriors are rested but they still have to travel. Celtics all the metrics look good in terms of boards, steals and turnovers.

Horford is playing solid and Irving is back and we’re taking Celtics +7.5. Might even be best to wait till closer to gametime for that line to jump. Logo

It was another 1-1 night last night as we were on the wrong side of half a point being the difference.

We had the Celtics -6 and they covered 109-102 in a tight one against the Nets. Credit to the Celtics who didn’t take their foot off the gas. Irving was in the squad and picked up 25 points in that one.

In the other game we had the Spurs -6.5 and unfortunately they won 97-91. Mavs hung with them quite well to their credit and after a low scoring 1st quarter we had a feeling things weren’t going to go our way. They did not.

In the other game the Raptors beat the Houston Rockets 129-113 in a big result for Toronto. DeRozan picked up 27 points in that clash and that was a much needed win for the Raps, who now move 8-5 for the season.

Busy schedule again tonight with 11 games on the board. Sorry for the delay again I was busy BUYING WRESTLEMANIA TICKETS. Can’t wait for that show.

Knicks vs Jazz Betting Tips:

We’ll be going with Knicks -4 tonight.

The Jazz have been extremely poor on the road this season and are still seking their first win. They’ve been dominated in every road game and know they go to Madison Square Garden – without Rody Gobert.

That’s not good.

The Knicks lost a tight one to the Cavs but they’ll want to bounce back. They’ve been strong at that this season so far. They lost to the Magic and turned around at MSG and thumped the Kings. They lost to the Rockets – humiliated actually – but then turned around and slapped the Suns around.

Since their 0-3 start the Knicks have looked great and that’s mostly due to Kristaps Porzingis. The dude is killing it and even if he has a bad game the Knicks are still doing well.

I’m surprised at this line to be honest as I’d expect it to be a fair bit higher. I’m going to go with Knicks -4 with a lot of confidence in this one.

Pistons vs Bucks Betting Tips:

Vin is a Bucks fan and he isn’t too happy at me for this one – but I’m taking Pistons +4.

I think this is going to be an extremely close game. The Bucks have had their issues this season but come into this one on a 3 game win streak with Ws over the Spurs and Grizzlies.

The Pistons are playing their first road game since outright domination at home. While they lost their last road game to the Lakers they beat the Warriors and Clippers before that so have shown their ability on the road. Probably just underrestimated the Lakers more than anything else.

I love everything I am seeing from the Pistons tonight and against Vins wishes, I’m backing them. Boy he’s gonna be pissed if the Bucks pull it off.

Very tempted by Wizards +1 tonight but man – over the last games between the two, the Heat have just been a bad matchup for them. I see a lot of people on the Wizards tonight but I can’t advise it. Just one of those eternal matchups where one team seems to have the other one figurd out. Logo

Hi guys,

Sorry for the lateness in the tips today. Just been absolutely swamped.

It was a 1-1 night last night.

We lost with the Pelicans -9. They won the game but didn’t cover the spread after having to battle the whole way after the Hawks got off to a 32-23 1st quarter.

Darius Miller was the hero for the Pelicans in that one and the dude was clutch. He hit 4 great 3 pointers in the last quarter of the game and won them the game.

Our other pick was Timberwolves -3.5. That was a nice and easy one as the Timberwolves dominated the Utah Jazz from the get-go. The T’Wolves won that one 109-98 thanks to a great game from Towns and his double double.

Jazz missing Gobert really hurt them. That was a big loss for them and they really had no idea what to do without him.

Only 3 games tonight. Quiet night in the NBA.

Celtics vs Nets Betting Tips:

Can anyone top the Boston Celtics? After losing their first two they have banded together and are on an incredible run with 12 wins in a row. They face a Brooklyn Nets team reeling from that loss to the Utah Jazz.

It’s hard to see the Nets hanging with the Celtics in this one. The Nets to their credit have gotten some nice wins at home but the Celtics are a team that just don’t give up and on the road they are always looking to rack up the points.

Irving is in tonight which is a boost but even if he wasn’t we’d probably take the Celtics here. Brooklyn are without Russell which is a nice little bonus as well.

The Celtics should dominate this one and Irving should be nice and pumped for this one.

Celtics -6.

Mavericks vs Spurs Betting Tips:

Only real concern is this one is the Spurs last 3 road performances. Their last 4 game road trip saw them beat the Heat before getting pounded by the Magic, Pacers and Celtics.

Mavs are really struggling through and other than that surprising win over the Wizards they haven’t won a game since the 25th.

This just seems like the type of game where the Spurs should beat up on them and beat up on them hard.

Spurs -6.5 Logo

1-0 last night which brings us to 6-0 on the weekend. We hope you all made a lot of money this weekend. If you did, be sure to subscribe to our tips below to keep our updates delivered to your inbox on a daily basis.

The one pick we made yesterday was the Detroit Pistons -2 against the Heat. Miami looked every bit the team we thought they were going to be, without much fight on the sixth game of a road trip (and a day game at that). They didn’t do enough on offense to keep up and the Pistons rolled by 12.

Atlanta Hawks vs. New Orleans Pelicans Betting Tips:

The dream of the Pelicans is starting to look real. They’ve won four of their past five and have covered the spread in all five of them. They are starting to share the ball, third in assist percentage, and they are always a threat on the boards. This is definitely looking like playoff team early and hopefully that continues to be the case. We’d love to see what DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis could do in the playoffs.

They draw a great match-up tonight against the lowly Hawks who are near the bottom in the league in most statistical categories with an awful 107.8 in defensive rating. There isn’t a lot to get excited about for them and they don’t really have any bigs that can compete with Cousins and Davis. Dennis Schroeder is simply not enough to compete with this Pelicans team and it could be a long night for Atlanta.

This line is high and that’s okay because New Orleans should roll tonight. The Pelicans -9 is simply not high enough for what we think the result of this one is going to be.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Utah Jazz Betting Tips:

Utah suffered a huge loss when Rudy Gobert went down with an injury. He is the center of so much of what they do on both ends of the floor that losing him could really blow their season. The team came out strong without him against Brooklyn, but that was Brooklyn and this is the Timberwolves. That’s like the different between road kill and prime steak. They should have a much tougher time tonight and Karl Anthony Towns could have a field day without Gobert guarding him.

Minnesota has been frustrating on the defensive end this season. Isn’t that Tom Thibodeau’s whole thing? However, they have been a top ten offensive team and that should be a real problem for Utah in this one without Gobert. There will definitely be an adjustment period here and I think this is a great chance for the Wolves to grab a win. Utah’s whole game plan is slowing the game’s pace, but without Gobert that should be a real problem against this offense.

The play is Timberwolves -3.5 as Utah will struggle without Gobert. The whole grit and grind thing works when you have an elite defensive player backing you up, but without one? We think this will be a real tough night for the Utah Jazz. Logo

An awesome 3-0 last night which brings us to 5-0 on the weekend! We might as well be on Bourbon Street in New Orleans right now because we’re letting the good times roll.

Things started off in New York with the Knicks -7 against the Kings. We really loved this one and it paid in a big way as New York won this handily by 27 points. Kristaps Porzingis led the way with 34 points and we think that guy might be pretty good.

We followed that up with the Bucks -6.5 over the Lakers. The defense really held their ground in this one, holding LA to just 90 points as the Bucks won by eight. This was more of the Giannis Antetokounmpo show as he went for 33 points and 15 rebounds.

Our last pick ended up being closer than we expected, but still counted for a win. Cleveland -6 went on the road to Dallas and won by seven. It really feels like we’re starting to see something from Cleveland and that they are becoming a bit more reliable night in and night out. LeBron James still played way too many minutes (41), but this game saw a huge performance from Kevin Love who went for 29 points and 15 rebounds. That’s the Kevin Love they need to see if this season is going to work for them.

Let’s get to today’s picks and keep this winning streak rolling.

Miami Heat vs. Detroit Pistons Betting Tips:

A lot of people were ready to write off the Pistons and Stan Van Gundy as a failed experiment, but here they are at 9-3 with the 10th best defensive rating in the league. This is a still a team with some obvious flaws, but they are playing tough defense and come in to this game having won four straight. Whatever you may think of them, you have to like what you’ve seen from them this past week.

People are still waiting for the Heat team that finished the season 31-10 last season to show up. Maybe they just aren’t that good, maybe they are closer to what their total record ended up as, 41-41, than the team that finished so strong. They’ve played solid defense thus far, their defensive rating is 8th in the league, but scoring points has been an issue thus far. They are 25th in offensive rating and their stats match the eye test, they don’t really have a go-to scorer.

While those stats slightly favor the Pistons tonight, there is another factor that really put this bet on the map for us: schedule. This will be the sixth and final game of Miami’s road trip. A lot of times teams get to this point and just want to get home. Road games are hard enough as it is, but the sixth of a road trip and an early afternoon start? That doesn’t bode well for the Pistons.

Our one and only play today is the Pistons -3.5. We like the way that they have been playing lately and really like the scheduling match-up at play here.
