November 14th, 2017 NBA Betting Tips

GraemeWritten by Graeme

Hi guys,

Sorry for the lateness in the tips today. Just been absolutely swamped.

It was a 1-1 night last night.

We lost with the Pelicans -9. They won the game but didn’t cover the spread after having to battle the whole way after the Hawks got off to a 32-23 1st quarter.

Darius Miller was the hero for the Pelicans in that one and the dude was clutch. He hit 4 great 3 pointers in the last quarter of the game and won them the game.

Our other pick was Timberwolves -3.5. That was a nice and easy one as the Timberwolves dominated the Utah Jazz from the get-go. The T’Wolves won that one 109-98 thanks to a great game from Towns and his double double.

Jazz missing Gobert really hurt them. That was a big loss for them and they really had no idea what to do without him.

Only 3 games tonight. Quiet night in the NBA.

Celtics vs Nets Betting Tips:

Can anyone top the Boston Celtics? After losing their first two they have banded together and are on an incredible run with 12 wins in a row. They face a Brooklyn Nets team reeling from that loss to the Utah Jazz.

It’s hard to see the Nets hanging with the Celtics in this one. The Nets to their credit have gotten some nice wins at home but the Celtics are a team that just don’t give up and on the road they are always looking to rack up the points.

Irving is in tonight which is a boost but even if he wasn’t we’d probably take the Celtics here. Brooklyn are without Russell which is a nice little bonus as well.

The Celtics should dominate this one and Irving should be nice and pumped for this one.

Celtics -6.

Mavericks vs Spurs Betting Tips:

Only real concern is this one is the Spurs last 3 road performances. Their last 4 game road trip saw them beat the Heat before getting pounded by the Magic, Pacers and Celtics.

Mavs are really struggling through and other than that surprising win over the Wizards they haven’t won a game since the 25th.

This just seems like the type of game where the Spurs should beat up on them and beat up on them hard.

Spurs -6.5

Welcome to the NBA Tips for Wednesday, November 8th, 2017.

It was a night of good NBA action last night. The Cavs vs Bucks was a very tight affair but the Cavs got one in the win streak and put the Bucks on a 4 game losing stream. Not great for them.

The Mavs pulled off a surprise with a big victory over Washington. The Knicks made it three in a row with that win over Charlotte.

Raptors started off dominant against the Bulls but then almost blew it there with the Bulls having a big 4th quarter. The Raptors held them off.

Surprise as Philly dominated Utah. Philly have now won 5 in a row and are 6-4 total.

Only 5 games tonight. Here’s what we have:

Celtics vs Lakers Betting Tips:

Big game tonight and you know Lonzo Ball will be out there wanting to prove something. The Lakers come into this on a surprising two game winning streak.

But I can’t see Lonzo doing that. He’s not doing too well so far. Celtics just look like a really good and well managed team who will be able to control the Lakers.

Where it’s really going to hit home for the Lakers is the Celtics defense – at 94.45 a game they’re going to hold the Lakers in strong.

We’re taking Celtics -8.5 tonight in this one. Going to be a long night for Ball.

Pistons vs Pacers Betting Tips:

We’re going to back this one more due to the schedule than anything else.

Pistons haven’t played in a few days so are nice and rested while at home. Pacers are playing their 6th game in 9 days and are on a back to back. We think they’re going to fade down the stretch.

It’s a good one for the Pistons too as they have had time to sit and make some adjustments.

They do have a little bit of lack of depth at the moment with Leur out and Johnson questionable but I can’t see it being a fast paced game so that will accomodate them.

The Pacers are still struggling to fully figure out their offense and I think the Pistons are going to control them well tonight.

Take the refreshed Pistons to beat the Indiana Pacers and cover the spread. Tip is Pistons -6.5.

Welcome to the NBA Tips for Tuesday, November 7th 2017.

There were only 3 games last night but they were all good ones. The Warriors flexed their muscles against the Heat and picked up a 97-80 win. The Celtics beat the Hawks in a really tight one and the Nets showed great resolve to beat the Suns and fight off a comeback.

76ers vs Jazz Betting Tips:

The 76ers come to Utah on the back of a good little win streak but I expect it’s going to come crashing to a halt here and will take Jazz -6.5.

This is just a bad matchup for the 76ers stylistically anyway in my opinion. The fact that Embiid is out is a bonus for sure.

Bayless is out too and Utah will have something to prove defensively after their last outing. I expect another strong outing from Donovan Mitchell here too.

So Jazz is the play!

Raptors vs Bulls Betting Tips:

These two teams played to open the season with the Raptors winning 117-100.

Raptors big issue this season is how inconsistent their performances are. However I like them to come out big in this one.

They know the inconsistency is the issue and they sound really focused on fixing that for todays game.

After that Lowry ejection and the loss to the Wizards I think they’re going to be going out there to put in a professional, controlling performance.

This should hopefully be a dominant performance for the Toronto Raptors and I’m taking Raptors -11.

Bucks vs Cavaliers Betting Tips:

Honestly it’s very hard betting for or against the Cleveland Cavaliers. Essentially you’re betting “Will Lebron show up tonight?”. If the one man performance doesn’t then they get blown out. Frustrating to see.

However I’m taking Cavs -5 as I’m going to back that he WILL show up tonight.

One of the big stories of the NBA this season so far is the performances of Giannis. The Greek Freak has been absolutely incredible and if he keeps this up, the NBA MVP is a lock.

However I think that will motivate Lebron. He knows everything that is being said about Giannis and he’s going to show everyone who the true MVP is.

Bucks still have Monroe out as well and that should help Love hlpefully step it up.

Cavs -5 is the play.

Welcome to November.

We ended October on a 1-1.

The Pistons/Lakers game was an interesting one because stats wise, you’d have to go with the Pistons.

However when I started looking at it yesterday I kept getting put off by Detroit until it just made sense to go with the Lakers with the points. The Lakers did the business with a big win over the Pistons.

We had the Nets -5 but the Suns upset them last night 122-114. Brooklyn blew a lead in the 4th quarter. The Suns had an absolutely massive 4th. That was very frustrating.

Russell stepped up big as expected but that was not enough unfortunately.

It’s a busy night and I’ve looked over it and here are my thoughts:

Rockets vs Knicks Betting Tips:

Who would think I’d get to type “The Knicks are on a 3 game winning streak coming into this one”? Yet here I am typing just that very thing as the Knicks go for their first 4 game winning streak in a long time.

However I think it ends here and will be taking the Rockets -5.5. I believe a lot of teams are underrestimating the New York Knicks and that’s not helping things. Look at the way they grabbed that huge lead against the Nuggets the other night – Denver just could not come back from that at all even though they tried.

Porzingis is damn solid but the Rockets restrained him last season when they played and I like them to do that again. After their losses I also like them to bounce back.

Rockets -5.5 is my favourite play tonight.

Raptors vs Nuggets Betting Tips:

We like the Raptors +1.5 tonight. The Nuggets PG situation is terrible and they can’t handle Lowry.

The Raptors showed against the Blazers it’s not just about their offense – their defense can play damn good as well. That’s impressive to see. The Nuggets are in a bit of a rough schedule situation at the moment and while they’re at home and will be happy to be off the road I think fatigue will still be an issue for them.

Turnovers might still be an issue for them at home where they seem to be more aggressive. Yeah they were better on the road with turnovers but there’s always a big difference there.

We’re going with Raptors +1.5.

It was a big winning night last night as we went 3-1 with the NBA Betting Tips.

We finally got on the right side of a close one. We’ve lost every 0.5-2 point game so far this season, however last night we were celebrating as while the Minnesota Timberwolves beat the Miami Heat 125-122, we had the Heat +3.5 in that one. That half point was vital for us as it got us the win.

That was a great game that went to overtime and the T’Wolves notched up 2 wins in a row. Heat have now lost their last three and that isn’t good at all for them.

We also had the Warriors -5.5 and that was one of our favourite games this season. we were pumped for that one and were so ridiculously confident in the Warriors. We knew the Warriors would come in fired up and they dominated that one start to finish for our 2nd win of the night.

We also had the Jazz -8 vs the Dallas Mavericks. Utah shut the Mavs down in the 2nd half and dominated that one to win 104-89. It was a great performance from Utah who piled more misery on the Mavericks.

Our loss was the Grizzlies -6. They’d been playing some good ball going into the Hornets game but Charlotte won 104-99. The Hornets had a late rally with big thanks to Kemba Walker there which caused the Grizzlies to lose their first home game of the season.

It’s October 31st, 2017. Happy Halloween! Let’s hope for no scares with the betting tips tonight. All treats, no tricks.

Pistons vs Lakers Betting Tips:

This is one of those games where I talked myself out of a pick enough that I have to take the other side.

I wanted to take Pistons -4 but you’re talking about their 3rd game in 4 nights all of which they are in California. That’s tricky. The Lakers have been quite poor this season of course but the Pistons may be suffering from overconfidence too after two massive wins.

Plus they had that win over the Timberwolves.

I think when you look at the stats for this season so far then yeah you gotta go with the Pistons – the ylook the better team. But I think fatigue and overconfidence is going to be enough to see the Lakers at least stay competitive in this one.

Don’t forget the Lakers were also leading the Raptors by 17 points in the 3rd quarter before losing that one too. Walton said he wants his team to play faster and that could be bad news if they can bring that out against the Pistons.

I’m going with Lakers +4 tonight.

Nets vs Suns Betting Tips:

Nets regressed after that big win over the Cavs with bad losses to the Knicks and the Nuggets.

Time for them to turn it around tonight.

I like Russell and the Nets to get back into it tonight with a nice big win over the Suns. Phoenix have lost both their road games so far and after the Watson firing since are still not too impressive. This team is unhappy.

I’ve got to think the Nets see this as a huge bounce back game tonight.

Nets -5.

It was a disappointing 0-1 night last night as our lone pick, the LA Clippers, lost.

The Clippers had a dominant first half against the Detroit Pistons. However they fellt apart in the 2nd half and it was a really bad team performance. 19 freaking turnovers. Unreal. And you could tell they were all angry at each other about it.

Very disappointing one. Always frustrating to see things go so well initially then just crap out like that.

7 games today in the NBA with it all kicking off at 3:30pm EST. Love those early Sunday afternoon games as it’s a great way to spend your Sunday.

Let’s get to it:

Nets vs Nuggets Betting Tips:

The Nets go into this one with a perfect 3-0 home record. They’ve taken the scalps off the Cavaliers, Hawks and Magic with some great performances and I’m going to back them to do it again here.

I’m taking Nets +4.5.

Nuggets haven’t been too impressive yet this season with their only wins being over the Hawks and Kings. The Nets will be in bounce back mode – they were an utter disaster against the Knicks and the only way to go after losing to the Knicks is up.

I’d said to Vin earlier in the season that motivation is going to be a big factor for the Nets this season. When they’re motivated, they should be a good team to back. Unfortunately against the Knicks they weren’t motivated – they thought they could just show up and the Knicks would roll over.

After that performance I like them to be motivated here. D’Angelo should play more today too. If you’re a fan of historical matchup betting trends the Nets have won 6 of the last 7 against the Nuggets.

Personally I like them to win this one but we’ll take the points to be safe.

Nets +4.5 is the play in this one.

Pistons vs Warriors Betting Tips:

The Pistons are getting 13.5 points in this one and I’m going to take Pistons +13.5.

That’s just too many points for me. The Warriors are not doing a good job at shutting off teams and wrapping up games. They’ve only had one really blowout victory which was against the Mavericks. They’re not as dominant as one would expect down the stretch.

The Pistons are on the 2nd half of a back to back which is most likely why they’re getting that many points but I like the run they are on at the moment. The momentum they will carry from that 2nd half against the Clippers will be huge.

Warriors have been slow starters this season I’ve found for the most part. So that momentum will help the Pistons who hopefully can keep it close in the first half then ride it out.

Those are the two picks today. Enjoy the games!

It wasn’t a good night last night with the NBA Tips unfortunately. Pity as I was feeling pretty good after the tips write-up as well.

We had the Pacers +13.5 against the Thunder. That was one where Oklahoma City just kept chugging along and Melo and Westbrook stepped up big for them. Thunder win by 18 points overall. I’d said yesterday George wasn’t fitting in too well yet and that continued last night – but Westbrook and Melo more than made up for it.

Annoying to have a good read about something like that but then have it go tits up regardless.

The Mavericks came out hot against the Grizzlies and even though the next 3 quarters were what we expected – a close battle – Gasol & co couldn’t pull back that big lead that the Mavs got early on in the game.

The one that really peeved us off though was the Rockets -3. We were excited for that one as we felt it was a mis match but man – it just didn’t happen. Have to feel bad for the 76ers actually just for losing that one as that musta been a brutal feeling.

Let’s hope for a better night tonight. With only 5 games it’s allowed us to really analyze them that much more.

Celtics vs Bucks Betting Tips:

Maybe I’m a sucker but I have to take the Bucks -4 tonight. They’re playing at their old home – the MECCA. It’s a one night only sort of thing and Brogdon is also apparently playing tonight which is nice.

They beat the Celtics to open their season and while the Celtics are making some good adjustments I’m not quite sold on them yet.

I hope they don’t pull a Milwaukee and ruin the party tonight. Just can’t see them stopping the Greek Freak.

Clippers vs Blazers Betting Tips:

The Clippers have an issue with depth at the moment and they’ll be fun to bet on the 2nd leg of back to backs. Not that this is one tonight but they did have to play a lot on Tuesday night and they’ll be feeling it still I think.

The Blazers are solid throughout and I like the Blazers to really push the Clippers all over the court here. They all seem to be producing and although the Clippers have been dominant in the Blazers with 10 wins in the last 14 meetings, I like that to remain 10 wins in 15 meetings after tonight.

I’m loving everything right now about the Blazers and I like Ed Davis as well – he’s been performing very well and I’m going with Blazers -2.5.

Kings vs Pelicans Betting Tips:

We lost with the Pelicans the other night when Davis went out injured. HHe’s not playing again tonight so I’m going to go with Kings +2.5.

The Kings have had some tough losses but I see them matching the Pelicans here and playing a lot better. They were unlucky against the Suns but seemed to be clicking very well.
