Graeme & VinWritten by Graeme & Vin

No tips from Graeme today. He was out drinking last night and literally just woke up and have to get these out by 2pm est. Here are Vins thoughts:

The Raptors need to wake the heck up. Kawhi Leonard is doing his best, but the rest of the team is being very Raptors-like. Like the team we’ve seen LeBron James own over the past couple of years. I believe this team has a great defense, I believe they can have a great offense, but we haven’t seen it and that leaves me at a loss as far as picking a winner for this game.

Philadelphia has been playing great, but so often in this league we give up on teams after a couple of losses or get too into teams after a couple of wins. The level of these teams in the regular season and the match-ups say that the Raptors are the pick here. They were just too good of a team to go out like this, but… this is also the Raptors. We’ve seen this story before.

Here’s what I do know. Every game in this series has went under and they keep bringing the line further down. Even at 2145, the line for this game, the teams have only gone under that number once and that was in game one. This series is going to get bogged down the longer it goes and I have to keep riding the unders here.

Raptors/Sixers Under 214.5

The Nuggets and Blazers played one of the craziest games in NBA history on Friday with the 4OT thriller and now have to come back for an early start here. These teams should be tired and it’ll be interesting to see how they handle tonight’s game.

I think in this league that a loss like that can feel like multiple losses. The Blazers have won the last two, but for the Nuggets it might feel like a 3-1 series and the result insurmountable. I was rooting for a good series here, but a big part of me thinks that the Blazers ripped the Nuggets hearts out with that game. All they have to do is finish it off now. Reminder: We are still waiting on that trademark Damian Lillard game. Tonight could be the night.
